I just love these old houses and barns. Somehow, seeing a building that was built between a hundred and a hundred fifty years ago makes the passing of time so touchable. Being able to walk through a building someone dreamed about and then built, to see rooms families grew old in makes me feel precious and small all at the same time.
Like the feeling you get when you stand before the ocean.
Oh, the magnitude of time and how small a part we play in it. It’s humbling yet inspiring.
Humility is not thinking less of yourself…it’s simply thinking about yourself a bit less. –C. S. Lewis
